my head, pt. 2

What I think while I'm stationary biking for 30 minutes:

1/30
1/15
1/10
1/6
1/5
1/4
3/10
1/3
2/5
1/2
3/5
2/3
3/4
7/10
4/5
5/6
9/10
2 minutes
1 minute
45 seconds
30 seconds
15 seconds
DONE!
That's a little weird, right? Also kind of obsessive.

At least my elementray school teachers might be proud of me.

Holy @#&%, P. That's exactly what I do on any stationary form of cardiovascular exercise. Well, that is, until I joined Rain. Now, I focus on a) my ipod (the doom of humanity) b) eye candy or c) what's happening in my view from the sound. Although, I still break my focus to obsessively check the clock and determine the fraction - just not as much as I used to do.
On a side note, when I ran competitively, I would break the run into fractions (based on distance rather than time this time) and then attach a small story to that "beat" in order to make the race more interesting than pain and who am I drafting?

Oh dollface -- I am so glad I'm not alone! I listen to NPR while I biking, but still -- I look at the clock all the time. At least the fractions give me little mini goals to achieve. How come 30 minutes is next to no time when web-surfing or gaming, and yet *forever* when I hop on the bike?

Mysteries of the universe.
